Meeting Daddy is an energetic blend of comedy, poignant family story, raunchy slapstick and simmering love story. Peter, a New York City writer, joins his girlfriend and her family for a weekend while she gets her ailing dad settled in with a caregiver. In Lloyd Bridges' final film, he is delightfully cantankerous. His children rush to his seemingly helpless side, only to be cleverly manipulated and tricked by an old man who still has a zest for life.
