Things are up in the air, with Mark wondering when exactly Dobby will be moving in and when exactly Jez will move out. Dobby's spending her time nursing an ill Gerrard and Jez, at Dobby's suggestion, is busy experiencing the benefits of therapy.

Mark's excitement over finding a publisher for his book overshadows the seediness of the deal. Jez, meanwhile, takes a similarly illegitimate course on life coaching.

Dobby's ex-boyfriend Simon invites her, the boys and Super Hans to his birthday paint balling weekend, to which Mark agrees, suspicious of Simon's motives. Jez's first life coaching attempt with one of Simon's friends doesn't go too well.

Jez struggles with his newly-realized love for Dobby, and uses Mark's crush on an older woman from his masters course to sabotage the relationship. Jez simultaneously tries to life coach the handyman Mark's hired to repaint the kitchen.

Jez is desperate to find a new place that isn't a dirty corner or a room full of snakes, and Mark's desperate for Dobby to move in. She says she will once he's sorted out the damp, moldy wall in his bedroom, and the only way he can is to get elected chairman of the building's freehold committee.

Mark figures he'll redo his proposal weekend with Sophie, this time asking Dobby, to keep her from accepting a six-month job in New York. Now at the breaking point, Jez figures it's time to confess his own feelings.
